Let Laura Speak · 4 June 2014

It provides communication equipment to severely disabled people of all ages with speech or movement difficulties, in order to promote independence and to enable each person to reach their full potential

Story

Laura Oglanby suffers with cerebral palsy and has been unable to speak since birth. She is a wonderful young lady who always seems happy, she has the biggest and most beautiful smile and we would very much like to see her as happy as she makes others feel. By hopefully raising enough money to buy her computer equipment to help her talk. This would be amazing and I think everyone who knows Laura would love to hear Laura speak for the first time in 24 years. Therefore we are joining this fundraising campaign "Let Laura Speak" organised by Allerdale Mayor Len Davies.

This would be amazing for our family to hear Laura speak and have a conversation with her at last, and actually hear what she has to say it is very sad as we know Laura wants to get words out but she just can't do so therefore we heard about this special equipment and thought it would be a great idea to give it a go.
