Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

What are we doing? Our challenge is to walk up and down the 3 highest mountains in Scotland, England and Wales in 24hrs. This means 26 miles of walking, a 4 mile 'vertical' round trip, and 450 miles of driving in between  3 mountains.

This all started as a pub chat about challenges and quickly evolved into something that we have told enough people about to ensure that we can't back out!!!!!

We will be raising money for Hospice and  MacMillan charities, who basically help people with cancer. Even in our small group of would-be mountaineers we have all had close friends or family who have been affected by cancer, John & Matt both lost their dads to cancer, and saw at first hand that any kind of support, information and general help is gratefully received.  Waynes dad has also recently been diagnosed with Cancer.

Someone close to you getting cancer hits you like a train,  this is where Hospices and MacMillan come in and provide support and help both physically and emotionally,  so what better way to spur us on in our challenge than to know something good will come of it.
