Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

Team Machado - Colliss - Motha are getting into the spirit of Christmas by getting fit, having fun and doing it all for a good cause. We will be running the 5K Nativity Run in full Nativity Dress, our team ranges from a 3 year old to 53 year old - none of us are runner, yet we are all planning to run the whole route; so training for us is well underway.

Christmas is a time for giving, and with taking part in this run we aren't just giving one cold Saturday morning in December for our time; but we're giving hours of training, lots of willpower and a tonne of determinatoin; all of this is being done in the hope that we'll get you to sponsor us and CAFOD to help them in the excellent aid work they do. We're not asking for much, as anything that can be donated makes a difference.

£30 can pay for essential medical treatment for pregnant mothers and new-born babies in remote areas, and can also provide extra food for children at risk of becoming malnourished.

CAFOD's aims are to promote long-term development; respone to emergencies; raise public awarness of the causes of poverty; speak out on behalf of poor communities; and promote social justice in witness to Christian faitth and gospel value. It is also involved in short-term relief.
