Story
May 21st sees the 8th year of the Ford Ranger Great Lakeland Challenge in aid of the Wooden Spoon Society, a charity which helps disadvantaged children.
It's a gruelling race in which 30 teams aim to canoe the length of Lake Windermere (11m), cycle over Wrynose and Hard Knott Passes (27m) and climb Scafell Pike (9m) all within 12 hours!
Last year the event helped to raise £147,458 and this year, with your support, we aim to beat that total.
NAFF - Nearly Athletic Ford Fleet - comprises Ian Mills, Mark Allen, Ian Taylor and Ian Watson. As one of the oldest and least prepared teams, your sponsorship is reasonably safe so please give generously and if we actually get through, the Wooden Spoon Charity will benefit greatly!
Best regards
