Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

Essentially, we're all middle-aged and in need of a challenge! So we decided to do a real challenge and walk the 3 highest Peaks in the UK (Ben Nevis, Sca Fell pike and Snowdon, all in one 24 hour period.

Whilst we're at it, we're raising money for Tenovus, a charity that do unquestionably good work with Cancer sufferers - there's a link over on the left, so please take a look at the great work they do.

Tim Rees (43), Director of Protectagroup Insurance Brokers. Married to Val (late 20's) with one son, Cameron (10)
"As I am getting fat I thought the idea of yomping up and down a few hills would be a great way to get fit when John suggested it - until I saw the itinary but by that time it was too late!
I have been privileged to meet a few of the great people at TENOVUS and to get a better understanding of the brilliant work they do to make life easier for cancer sufferers. Time to put something back I think.
Please give generously"

Stuart Christmas (45) - Married to Jo with a son, Mackenzie (4).  Tenovus are a wonderful charity and it just seems like the right thing to do, to challenge yourself once in a while and raise some money for these wonderful people to put to such good use.

Peter Melling (early 30's), fancied getting fit and challenging himself, whilst helping this fabulous cause.

John Dorrington (still in his teens)  - Well is it middle aged madness,or putting my superbly toned body to the test ,who knows but i am really proud to be part of this fine team of atheletes who aim to raise a stack of money for a fantastic cancer charity tenovous. It seems to me that many families are touched by this dreadful disease .We will be climbing 5 years to the month that my dad lost his battle to cancer and this will give me a chance to quietly celebrate his life while getting some money to give to people who can make a real difference to other families and individuals.

The training is going well. First walk was to the bell hanger in chepstow, with the locals a little wary of men in boots and balclavas! Still, we made it back all of 2 miles up the hill. Training is about to step and in May, we'll be going to the lakes for trainig week-end. My aim is to simply raise as much money as i can ,get up and down those mountains in 24 hours and have a great time. Please give as generously as you can any amount is hugely appreciated and will be put to great useJohn.d

Brian Gow (the oldest-by far)

Some would say that I am far too old to be running up and down mountains but it is for a very good cause and it gives me an excuse to polish the old boots. Tenovus do amazing things on cancer research and patient care but like all charitable organizations they rely on donations to survive, your contribution is very much appreciated. Many thanks, Brian

A special mention here, to the two unsung heroes of the team: Ant and Andy will be doing the driving for us, between hills. Guys, you're heroes to us, and thanks a million for doing it. We really couldn't do it without you!

Also, we'd all like to pass special thanks on to Marcella at Cardiff Gate Business Park, for a kind donation of £100, and Tim's colleagues at Protectagroup for raising £190 for us!
