We remember saying if we had a marathon in us it would have to be a bit different as Lucozade Sport did not motivate us; Premier Cru Claret on the other hand....
So started our interest in the Medoc Marathon.
Medoc is known as the world's longest marathon, it is the standard 26.2 miles long and has to be completed in the usual time. We will do our best to run every inch of it, along the way we will make a flying visit to some of the finest Chateaux (Latour, Lafite and Mouton Rothschild to name a few) and enter into the spirit of a crazy French carnival in fancy dress and with 40 bands on route and amongst other gastronomic delights, oysters at mile 23!
We are clearly unhinged and have been accused of having a mid-life crisis, however, we are also taking this opportunity to ask for your help in raising money for a very worthy cause.
