The Dudley Group NHS Charity makes a real difference to those being treated in our hospitals or in their own homes. We are not about providing healthcare; charitable donations enable us to give extra comfort, equipment and facilities above and beyond those which are supplied by the NHS.

Story

Perhaps rashly, I have agreed to cycle from Vienna to Budapest in June with my Dad. As I have not been on a bike for 10 years, and as it is a 220 mile ride through Central Europe, I have decided that I should at least raise some money for Charity to justify my exertions!

Consequently, I am raising money for two of our medical Specialties at Russells Hall Hospital. Care of the Elderly (Wards C3 & A2) and Acute Medicine (EAU & C8) are our two largest inpatient Specialties. Sadly they do not receive the level of donations that some of the Trust’s more high-profile areas do. However, they both provide fantastic care for hundreds of sick patients every week.

I originally set a target of raising at least £500. People's generosity has meant that I am now aiming for £1,000. I would be incredibly grateful for any sponsorship donations that you may wish to make. The more I can raise, the more energy I will have as we wind our way along the Danube river.

Many thanks.
