<p>Hey everyone,</p> <p>Thanks for clicking your way here!</p> <p>I read about Children of the Andes because I'm headed for Colombia this summer and it looks like an important and useful charity.&nbsp; Your money will go to practical projects, changing the lives and prospects of kids growing up in marginal areas in parts of Colombia.&nbsp; Colombia has suffered from a lot of violence and instability in recent history (and we in the West have played a role in exploiting south americian countries and perpetuating their instability; providing the market for cocaine; propping up and knocking down leaders left right and centre..). &nbsp; But Colombia is, hopefully, beginning to stablise.
