At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Story

This year the cycling challenge has got even more extreme. In September as part of the Lloyd's Banking Group team I am going to cycle from Lands End to John O'Groats 969 miles in just 9 days, the shortest day being 99 miles, on the Deloitte Ride Across Britain run by James Cracknell of Olympic rowing fame.

The Banks chosen charity this year is Alzheimer's UK which is very close to my heart as my father and his two siblings are sufferers.

I have a very stretching fundraising target of £4000 to raise so any donation are very welcome and I thank you in advance should you choose to be so kind.

As I have reached the initial target I am keen to push on further and have entered Alzheimer's Le Tour  Sportive in July as training . This is the first day stage of this years Tour de France in Yorkshire 116 miles in the hills and dales.
