Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
On the 8th of June I'm taking part in the 5 ferries cycle challenge for "The Glasgow Hospice". The cycle itself is over 50 miles around Arran, Kintyre and Bute and involves some serious climbs and a race against time to meet each ferry, any pain will be worth it as the hospice is a wonderful cause.
The Prince & Princess of Wales Hospice exists to help patients achieve the best quality of life possible in whatever time remains for them. Where it may not be possible to add days to lives, they aim to add life to days and as a registered charity, care is free of charge.
They take a holistic approach, recognising patients' emotional, social and spiritual needs as well as practising advanced pain and symptom control. We treat the person, not the disease - and also offer practical and emotional support to families and carers in this most difficult of times please spare whatever you can to help people who are terminally ill live their life in comfort and dignity.
It is a sad fact of life that at some point in our life we will be touched by the hospice so please dig deep and donate now.
