Story
In a moment of sheer madness I have agreed to a tandem skydive on the 20th of November in order to raise money for the Brittle Bones Society. I have the absolute pleasure of teaching a pupil at my school that suffers from Osteogenesis Imperfecta (Brittle Bones) and would do anything that helps makes his life and that of other people with a similar condition better.
Credit for making this skydive a reality has to go to a pupil at my school called Nicola McRobert. Nicola came up with the idea of raising money for the Brittle Bones Society and from there it has snowballed into becoming a tandem sky dive, race night (12th of Nov, 7pm @ Dumfries High School), school fun night and non-uniform day to name but a few. To this end I’m asking all those people who know me to dip their hands into their wallets or purses and make a donation towards getting my backside on a small plane ready to jump into empty space!! All the money raised is going to a great cause and will help make the life of those with (or who care for someone with) Brittle Bones that little bit better.
Thanks
Neil
