Story
"Francis House is a hospice based in Didsbury, Manchester, which provides appropriate care for children and young people with life threatening conditions and the necessary support and short-term rest for their families."
This text from their website made me decide to do something to help raise a few pounds for this incredible organisation. My family and I are so lucky to not need the support which Francis House give. They provide families with comfort, rest, enjoyment and dignified end of life care.
My aim is to take part in an organised walk/hike around the parish boundary of Wadsworth. This is an event organised annually by the Hebdon Bridge Rotary Club. I will be completing the full 21 mile distance whilst wearing the "Metman" rubber-covered, foam costume - very kindly lent to me for this event by my colleagues at Transport for Greater Manchester.
This will be in June, and the weather forcast says it will be a hot day - I am not looking forward to this...
What I ask from you however is much more important; please have a read of the Francis House website and pledge a few of your hard earned pounds to this very worthy cause.

Thank you so much for reading about the charity. Please put your "generous hat" on and donate a few quid either via this website or on the sponsorship form I will be carrying with me before and after the event.
Cheers,
Neil.
