Story
I arrived home from holiday in February to the devastating news that my nephew Joseph had been diagnosed with stage stage 4 neuroblastoma, an extremely, aggressive childhood cancer. Since then he has been bravely undergoing an intensive treatment regime. He still has a long road ahead which we all hope leads to remission.
However one of the nastiest things about neuroblastoma is a very high incidence of relapse - if this happens Joseph will need treatment abroad for which there is no NHS funding - the Neuroblastoma Alliance UK supports children with obtaining this treatment.
Neil and Paul are Cycling the King of the Mountains event in order to raise money for Joseph and the Neuroblastoma Alliance UK. This is a 99 mile tour around the Yorkshire Dales from Skipton taking in a massive11,000 ft of climbing. This will be a real challenge for both of us - Chris Froome and Bradley Wiggins we are not!!
So please dig deep and support the cause. Hopefully Joseph will never need the money raised, in which case it will be used by the Neuroblastoma Alliance UK to support other children that do, as well as aid the research and development of new and improved treatment of this terrible childhood cancer.
Thank you so much in advance for your kind donation and follow Joseph Lillywhite's Journey.
