Norwich 100/50 Bike Ride · 1 June 2013 ·

Far too many of us have felt the pain of losing someone we love. With your donations, we power groundbreaking cardiovascular research to save and improve lives, bring hope to families, and keep hearts beating across the UK.

Story

For those of you who know me, this will appear to be completely out of character. Me and exercise do not go very well together.

However I have joined with a group of teachers from Taverham High School to ride the Norwich 100 mile bike ride on the 1st June 2013 to raise money for two worthwhile causes. Firstly, Cancer Research, which is a charity personal to all in the PE department and THS staff, and secondly my chosen charity, The British Heart Foundation.

As some of you will be aware my dad was diagnosed with heart problems and had to have a triple bypass operation in the mid 80s. All went well and he is still well and truly with us which is testament to the work carried out by my chosen charity.

Hopefully I can persuade you to part with some hard earned money to a very good cause, this alone is what will get me through the 8 hours of agony I am sure to endure on the day, as well as the hours of training I am already trying to complete.
