My 40th birthday is less than a year away now and i wanted to do something that would challenge me. My trip was going to be to New Zealand for a few weeks to try out all the adrenalin sports before i got too old, lol. Alison then mentioned about climbing Mt Kilimanjaro! After a day of thinking about this the trip was booked! on the 13 Feb 2011 we're off to climb, scramble and crawl our way to the top of Mt Kilimanjaro!
So my personal challenge was set, all i had to do now was get fit!! So Molly my dog is getting tons of walks and i'm hitting the slopes of Snowdon in October. It was on one of my walks that i started thinking about raising some money for a charity, but which one?
A few years ago i was involved in the biking community and had a couple of friends who were airlifted to hospital after crashing their bikes. At the time i used to raise money for the London Air Ambulance (HEMS). What a fantastic job these people do all over the country. Like angels waiting if the unthinkable happens! So i wanted to raise money again for the Air ambulance service. This time i've chosen the East Anglian Air Ambulance Service
They run purely on charity donations, having to find around £3million a year to keep the rotors turning on their 2 Life Saving Helicopters
So please help us raise as much as possible for this invaluable service.
