My story
I'm so grateful to everyone for their unbelievable generosity - this has been absolutely oustanding. I'm committed to raising £1600 for the hospice. I thought I'd stuggle to raise this amount but in fact surpassed the target in 6 days! So a big thank you to all my friends and colleagues - you've been fantastic.
I just wanted to up date you on the latest from a training perspective. I've been training hard since last June but 4 weeks ago I had a return of my Sciatica from a further disc prolapse. This is getting better particularly after a steroid injection but I haven't been able to run for 4 weeks. I'm going to try again and have 8 weeks to go but it isn't looking very good at the moment. I haven't totally given up at this stage though.
Once I make a final decision I will post a number for you if you should like your money returned. At the moment though I'm still determined to do this even if it's a walk, run or crawl - perhaps a bed if I need another operation!!! Thank you once again for your exceeding generosity.

St John’s. The Hospice in the heart of London. Based at the charitable Hospital of St John & St Elizabeth, our care is totally free, thanks to our supporters giving £1m a year. We help 2,000 people with a terminal illness and their families from Hammersmith to the City, from the Thames to Hampstead.
