UNICEF works to build a better world for every child, every day. A world where every child has the chance to fulfil their potential and grow up healthy and safe. We work in 190 countries and territories around the world, reaching more children than any other humanitarian organisation.

Story

I’ve spent the last two years getting ready for this trip. Five weeks have been spent at sea literally learning the ropes and trying to get grips with bows, sterns and everything in between. I’ve been hoisted up a 90ft mast, dropped into the sea( attached to the boat thankfully) and learnt how to deal with extreme sea sickness. Now, thankfully, I think I’m ready to join Team Unicef on the last 3000 miles of their epic journey around the world on the latest edition of the  Clippper Round The World Race.

UNICEF's global work is changing children's lives for the better on a daily basis and I am humbled to be able to make a small contribution to raising their brand awareness and perhaps  a small amount of cash for them as my team sail around the world and I join them on the last leg from New York to Liverpool via Derry.
