Hello there. Thanks for visiting my fundraising page. The time has come again for me to inflict my lycra clad thighs on the highland community as I attempt to complete the Corrieyairack challenge 2011.

The challenge starts at Fort Augustus and consists of a 17 mile hill section over the historic Corrieyairack mountain pass rising to 2350ft, followed by a 26-mile road section from Garva bridge to the finish at Kincraig, south of Aviemore. My team member Puff and I (Huff) have chosen to Walk and Cycle, so luckily I have the luxury of a bike for the road section.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Speyside Handicapped Holidays Trust gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

The money goes towards the Speyside trust based at Badaguish Cairngorm Outdoor Centre and is a small independant charity helping children and adults with learning difficulties and other special needs participate in outdoor activities. The trust badly needs funds to further develop its respite care activity holidays and work experience/vocational training programmes. It really is an amazing place and totally focused on providing a safe and relaxing haven for the children and adults that attend. It made me feel very humble that the money that is raised goes towards helping people enjoy something that we often take for granted.

I have been running over the past few months but a rather large event got in the way of my fitness recently and set me back a bit, (oink) however the training has started again in earnest and I am confident that I should be in good enough shape not to embarrass myself or my team mate :o)

It would make me very pleased if you could contribute to a worthwhile cause and sponsor me. Anything is appreciated.

Many thanks

Neil
