My Story: I originally signed up to the 'Beat the CEO' challenge to be able to take part in the Great North Run, after a couple of years of failing the ballot process.

Since signing up, my Grandma passed away. Only after her death, I learnt that she had been diagnosed with an inoperable cancer. Being a proud woman, it was her intention to keep this from the family, and didn't want any fuss being made over her.

I was unable to help my Grandma and my entry in Great North Run is no longer just about 'taking part', it's now about raising the most amount of money possible for Cancer Research UK and helping others in need.
