We work with others to overcome poverty and suffering.
Story
If there was a baby right there with you and it would die but for a few quid you’d cough up, wouldn’t you? You wouldn’t see that baby suffer for something so easy to provide.
Well there are babies, children and adults all over the world who can be saved and given the means to save themselves for a few quid. Oxfam helps to provide these people with the means to save themselves from starvation, from poverty, from disease. Oxfam helps them to build a better life for themselves, their family, their village.
And you can help Oxfam to do it. On Sunday 11 October 2009 I will be running the Royal Parks Half Marathon.
I’ve been running now since the start of the year. When I started I couldn’t imagine that a Half Marathon would be possible for me. It’s amazing what some effort and commitment can achieve in a short space of time. You can keep track of my progress in training here.
And it’s amazing what Oxfam can achieve in their work with just a little help from you. So if you can spare a few quid towards this great cause I’d really appreciate it and so will the people at Oxfam and the people benefitting from all of their projects around the world.
Thanks.

Oxfam is a global community of people who believe in a kinder, and radically better world, where everyone has the power to thrive not just survive. We believe we can overcome poverty by fighting the injustices and inequalities that fuel it.
