Story
My name is Nelson Burton, for those who don't know me, I'm quite a regular guy. An 18 year old lad with a normal job, normal friends, and a normal family. A normal life.
But in the early hours of October 21st 2012 my father George Burton sadly passed away. He was a dedicated family man, determined to provide for us through good times and bad, and a role model for me and many others who knew him. A perfect example that tough times don't last, but tough people do. He is severely missed.
Shortly before he died, it was discovered he had an aggressive tumour attached to both of his lungs. Therefore in memory of him I shall be aiming to raise £3000 for the Big C cancer charity by participating in the Unite & Bike Against Cancer cycle ride. Pedalling 400km over 5 days, cycling from the lower slopes of Mt Kilimanjaro, through both Tarangire and Lake Manyara National Parks, to the finish line at Ngorongoro Crater Reserve.
Obviously, £3000 cannot be achieved alone however I am certain that with everyone's help we can smash our target and raise as much as we can for such a great cause. Even something as small as a couple of pounds can really make a huge difference! Thank you.
