He was born 10 and half weeks premature&nbsp;(born at 29 weeks and 5 days) weighing just 2lb 4 oz. He spent 11 and half weeks in the Special Care Baby Unit at Barnsley Hospital. He was in intensive care for the first 5 weeks of his life spending a proportion of that time ventilated and on breathing equipment as his lungs were not developed enough for him to breathe alone.</span></span></em></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;"><em><span style="font-family: Arial; color: #0000ff;"><span style="font-size: small;">&nbsp;</span></span></em></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;"><em><span style="font-family: Arial; color: #0000ff;"><span style="font-size: small;">As a thank you for all the hard work and fantastic care they gave our son whilst he was an in-patient I have arranged a charity night to raise money for the unit. If it wasn&rsquo;t for the Special Care Baby Unit our son would not be here today.
