After previously running the Edinburgh and Dublin marathons I should really have known better than to have signed up for the New York one.... But unfortunately I'm not that bright and so on the 7th November I will be dragging myself around the Big Apple for 26.2 miles.

Out of the madness though some good can come and so I will be running in aid of Marie Curie Cancer Care. Aswell as providing free nursing care to cancer patients and those with other terminal illnesses in their own homes, Marie Curie also run a number of hospices across the UK, and support both scientific and palliative care research. The breadth of work they cover means they need a huge amount of funding and so every little helps.
