At Young Lives vs Cancer, we help families find the strength to face whatever cancer throws at them. But every day 12 more children and young people hear the devastating news they have cancer. We’ll face it all together – but we can’t do it without you. Visit www.younglivesvscancer.org.uk

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

Each year the school "adopts" a chosen charity as the focus of our fundraising efforts.  This year we have chosen Clic Sargent.  Cancer, as  a disease, is prevalent in society, and very few of us will be fortunate enough to journey through life unaffected by it in some way, whether personally or through family members.  Clic Sargent raise money to support children and families coping with the stresses and the strains of treatment, hospital stays and recuperation at home.  Each day 10 families in the UK are told their child has cancer.

This charity is close to the hearts of the school because last year, one of our former pupils, Kathryn Logan, died of Leukaemia.

The children have already been busy this session raising money in a variety of ways.  As a staff, we felt it was important to support the pupils' efforts.  A group of us plan to climb Ben Lomond on Saturday 24th April.  We seek your support, in the form of donations, to help us raise as much money for a very deserving, worthwhile cause.

For those who can make a donation, we thank you!
