Hey there

On the April 30th 2006, John Packman and I completed the New Jersey Marathon in 3hrs and 34 minutes and 3hrs 58 minutes respectively. It's fair to say that this made all the pre-work gym sessions, the injuries and the physio bills worthwhile.

I can genuinely say that it is one of the hardest things I have had to do. I would to thank all the support that I have had throughout the campaign, not only on the website but from all people who came down to watch on the day. The support that I received from the people of Long Branch City, NJ was also instrumental in helping me break the 4 hour barrier.

Support crew: Dominique Tate and Nat Ash (official photographers), Crosbie, Tom Allum, Andy Beer, Woody and Shitbull. 

The first 12 miles went ok, I did it in 2 hours. Aiming for a negative split, I upped the ante in the 2nd half. Miles 20 onwards were pain personified whilst I had to do the last 3 miles in 27 minutes 

I'd like to thank the following: Packman for stupidly agreeing to this whole running malarky, DJ for the hard yards, Rhodri for the inspiration and of course Dangerous for his pearls of wisom "Higgins, tenner says the guy who did the London marathon in a deep sea diver's outfit does a better time than you!'....MARIANA for keeping me sane and sorting out the IPOD.
