The ability to get around is vital in order to live a full life yet thousands of people with sight loss never leave home alone. We empower visually impaired people to do that and rely on the support of the public to fund the guide dog service.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

Wayne was much loved member of the Guide Dog community. He would often be seen walking miles and miles with his very friendly and calm doggy friend Alfie. Wayne also raised £5,000 to name a puppy called Laika, inspired by the original Laika who became the first dog in space in 1957 (Laika the Dog & the First Animals in Space | Space)

Wayne's mum, Mary would love in collaboration with the Newport Fundraising Group for Guide Dogs to raise funds to name a puppy in Wayne's name and to help carry on the incredible work of Guide Dogs that Wayne benefitted so much from in his partnership with Alfie.
