In February 2014 I leave with a team of 5 others to volunteer in Malawi.

Whilst there I'll be involved in projects to...
● Improve access to clean and portable water (which includes building toilets)
● Improve hygiene and sanitation through training sessions
● Increase food security
● Educating on climate change issues
● Agricultural work such as planting home gardens
● Work alongside those affected by HIV AIDS

ENTERTAINMENT EVENING

Friday 10th Jan, 7pm for 7:30pm
Ex-servicemens Club, Mold
£5 at the door
Evening of music and fun: vocal and instrumental performances and comedy acts.
Venue includes a bar, disco to end the evening.
Mini auction including a weeks holiday for 4 in an apartment in Spain.

Come out for a lot of fun and quiality entertainment. Would love to see you all before I leave at the end of the month.

Details about fundraising events:-

To raise some of the money needed I have organised a quiz night in Mold on the 26th Nov which was a big success and great fun- £602 was raised! I am also organising a coffee morning on December 14th and an evening of music and entertainment on the 10th of January.

The Coffee Morning on the 2nd of December raised a brilliant £280! Big thank you to Chloe Roberts for playing the harp so beautifully on the morning :)

From Monday 2nd Dec-6th Dec I did a RICE & BEANS Challenge. This involved eating nothing but 2 meals of rice and beans per day. I missed mamas home-made dinners so much but in reality so many people living in Africa survive on a similar diet and they definitely don't have the huge variety of nice food that we are fortunate to have here. Big thank you to you who sponsored me during this.

Your generous giving will help support the local communites of Lilongwe (capital), Salima and Mchinji (rural areas) and will be greatly appreciated by myself and the local people I will be serving.

The donations given on this page go directly to Tearfund, and will cover all the essential in-country costs, such as accommodation, food, water and travel.
