I am currently raising funds for a 5 week expedition to Ladakh in the remote area of the Indian Himalayas. On the expedition I’ll be carrying out science projects such as; human physiology study using methods from the “Caudwell Extreme Everest” project, Glaciology data collection for NASA, Climate change project linked to the Royal Meteorological Society here in the UK, Botany Project linked to WWF in India. The money you donate will help me cover the cost of my once in a life time expedition also helping me provide some of my kit. I have already started fund raising myself and raised £1714 (current total 15 May 2010) I have raised this money by doing a sponsored bag pack, cake sales and other fundraisers, I am also looking at organizing a charity night at my local legion and writing to local companies for more financial support.
I am using Salford Lads and Girls Club becuase this is where I volunteer, working with over 250 young people each week organizing and running different activities such as football, pool competitions, table tennis and lots more. I also coach boxing 3 nights a week for the junior lessons and then help out in the senior classes.
