I have been an&nbsp; active part of the volunteer medical team which provides life changing facial reconstructive surgery to children with severe facial disfigurement who are not able to access the surgery that they need in their own countries for many years. I am also, as many of you know, both a trustee and the Medical Director for the charity.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>One of our programmes is to provide local training to multidisciplinary teams abroad in order to develop sustainable regional centres of expertise. We have been travelling to Vietnam for the last three years, and this year I am fundraising for the team going to Danang in May 2011.
