Story
I am running the Brighton Marathon for the Stroke Association on the 14th April in memory of my little brother Mark. Mark suffered a devastating Stroke in January 2011 just 4 weeks after his 18th Birthday. Before the stroke Mark was a fit and healthy teenage boy, he fought bravely after his stroke and began to make progress that the Drs hadn't thought possible. He showed a courage and sense of humour that helped us all through what was a traumatic time. However 8 months after the stroke due to health complications Mark tragically passed away.
Ever since then our family and friends have done what we can as Team Mark to raise awareness and vital funds for the stroke association and most importantly keeping Mark's memory alive.
Mark would have been the first person to tell you that I do not run, since losing Mark running has become a big part of my life and this year I am challenging myself in a way I never thought I could or would. The thought of Mark and what he went through-with a smile on his face is what will get me through the miles! Your support and generosity means a great deal and we really appreciate every single donation in helping us to take action on stroke.
THANK YOU!!!
