Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I am undertaking a cycling challenge across Malawi and will be covering 500kms in five days to raise £3,500 in support of the British Urological Foundation.
The British Urological Foundation's mission is to improve the management of urological disease through the development and support of medical education and sponsorship of research.
5,000 men in the UK are diagnosed with prostate cancer and currently 10,000 die each year. Out of every 100 men with cancer, 24 of them will have prostate cancer.
Some of the funds being raised through the cycle challenge will be used to train more surgeons and surgical teams in robotic assisted surgery, to help improve patient outcomes for those people with prostate and bladder cancers.
I would be very grateful if you could consider sponsoring me to Cycle Malawi in the quest to make robotic assisted surgery for prostate and bladder cancer available for more patients in the UK.
Thank you all for your support
