We fund therapies, activities and outings to stroke survivors in Suffolk & Essex
Story
Twelve months ago, if someone would have come up to me and said; “Nick, what do you think you will be doing this time next year?”, recuperating from a Stroke since November of last year and going on a sponsored walk to raise funding for stroke charities would, in all probability, not have been on my agenda.
But that is exactly what I am doing. I am doing a Sponsored walk on Thursday, 27th May with other Stroke Survivors around the town centre of in raising money in support of our organisation charity, Success After Stroke, (S.A.S.) which provides much needed reassurance & support to those of us who have suffered a stroke, and survived. There is no specific financial target, because simply put with the more we receive, then clearly the more support S.A.S. can offer its members be it additional physiotherapy, speech therapy, field visits, the list goes a long way all in the cause of making life for a survivor AND the carer a little easier.
Success after Stroke is an active and motivated self-help support group where the members are helped by dedicated volunteers and therapists in their efforts for rehabilitation, independence and confidence.
