My Story

Cue Violins

Many of you will be aware of my illness and assume I am doing this for me.  However I am not.  I am not one for being centre of attention.

Living on the Wirral is like living in a close community.  Everyone seems to know someone from somewhere.  In the same vein people know of charities that do a good job but also need support.

Claire House is one such charity.  They are a hospice for terminally Ill children and provide support to the children and families.  They are completely funded by donations.

Being a parent and all round cool dad you get to meet other cool and not so cool mums and dads.  You also get to meet their children.  In some case these families need the services of Claire House.  From knowing these families, the troubles they have had to face and the work Claire House has done it brings home the good work they do.

This is why I am going to strap myself to a high tension industrial strength wire, then zip along this wire at speeds of approx. 100mph.  This is no Go Ape Zip Wire, this is high above an old quarry in Snowdonia.  In fact it’s the longest one in Europe! (This is true at time of writing, and if we are in fact still in the European union).

So please donate so I know I am not risking my life for nothing.  Its also another tick on my list of things to do in 2014.

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
