<p><span style="font-family: "Arial","sans-serif"; color: black;">Some people celebrate their 50th year with a big party, many blokes head for the motorbike shop. Some do nothing, merely wishing to forget how many years have passed. But some stupidly set themelves an invigorating challenge!<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: "Arial","sans-serif"; color: black;"><span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>Many years ago, I gave myself the goal of walking from John O'Groats to Land End at some point in my life. Time is tight at the moment and my fitness level is reasonable (I hope), so I'm cycling the route in June and I’ll leave the walk until the next decade.</span><span style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif;">We (me and a mate) start the ride on 16 June and we aim to finish, 900 miles later, on 26 June.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: "Arial","sans-serif"; color: black;">In addition to that background to my ride, my lovely Mother died in February; we actually lost her some time ago as she suffered from Alzheimer's for many years. Please help me raise as much money as possible to help find a cure for this dreadful disease. </span></p>
