A zipwire across the River Tyne · 28 June 2012

We are dedicated to improving the quality of life and chances of survival for young cancer patients aged 13-24. We fund and build specialist units in NHS hospitals and provide dedicated staff, bringing young people together so they can be treated by teenage cancer experts in the best place for them.

Story

Hello everyone,

Some of you may be aware of my story, but some may not. At the age of 16 on the 31st of August 2010, I was diagnosed with a rare type of bone cancer called Ewing's Sarcoma. My intial diagnosis was frightful, with a huge primary tumour on my pelvis with spread to my lungs, skull and spine.

I was completely lost and confused at first but was lucky enough to come under the care of Teenage Cancer Trust. The amazing care they provided helped me through every step of my gruelling 7 months of chemotherapy and then radiotherapy.

The work Teenage Cancer Trust is amazing. They change lives for the better and make the best out of a bad situation. I really do wish to help them as much as they can so they can carry on with their fantastic work.

I'll be taking part in a zipwire across the River Tyne on Saturday the 30th of June. My aim is to raise at least £100!
