Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Dame Hannah Rogers Trust (DHRT) provides education and respite care for young people with physical disabilities and associated learning difficulties.

I'm going to run a half marathon in support of my friend Sue Tibbits and her very special daughter Sarah, a student of the Dame Hannah Rogers Trust. The Trust is a truly unique charity and I would welcome your support.  What these students achieve, often against almost overwhelming odds is truly remarkable, and with your support we can continue to help bring dreams to reality.

DHRT's special Bungalows are a great example of what can be done – they are able to offer places in specially designed and furnished bungalows on their Ivybridge campus to  students when they turn 19. The alternative can be grim - there is a scandalous shortage of appropriate care provision for them, and some have had to move to nursing homes, where they are no longer surrounded and supported by friends and peers. DHRT have recently renovated four of their Bungalows, and have one more to go. Once this one is completed, they will be able to offer places to an additional nine students, giving them specialist round the clock care and access to all the exciting opportunities available in their groundbreaking young adult provision, Hannahwood.

With the right level of care, education and support, every young person can be empowered to turn their own potential into remarkable achievements.

Help us make a difference to these young lives – give them their independence and freedom, they will do the rest! Visit www.damehannah.com to see what they are up to.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer.

Thanks so very much.

Nick
