Hello, hope this day finds you well, or at least hopeful and inspired.

My name is Nick and I have been blessed enough to reach my 50th birthday last year (2010). This being a milestone year I decided I want to make a difference to help others. I have a strong Christian faith and I believe that God has given me a talent for singing. I have also lived to date through some great years in popular music - the 60's, 70's and 80's! I really enjoyed busking in the not too distant past when I lived in Cambridge (the loose change I made really helped with the electricity meter in my flat).

At the end of July this year (2011) I became aware of Child Action North West (CANW) and explored an opportunity to do something I really love (busking) and do something really worthwhile at the same time! This desire has been met with some wonderful encouragement from Harriet Roberts - the Fundraising Manager for CANW, I am very grateful to her for giving me this chance. I am also currently training to become a Teaching Assistant, so responding to the educational and social needs of children forms a very great part of my personal and professional goals

I am very hopeful of developing CANW's fund and profile raising with performing opportunities including planned gigs, spontaneous busking (by kind permission of course) as and when opportunities arise. I will use this page to announce these, when known.
