Sport Relief brings the nation together to get active and raise life changing amounts of money through the power of sport. Sport Relief is an initiative of Comic Relief registered charity 326568 (England/Wales); SC039730 (Scotland)

Story

For those of you who don't know much about what I have to do to earn your sponsorship here is a little background.....

In February this year Lawrence Dallaglio will be cycling from Rome to Murrayfield, taking in each of the 6 Nations stadiums as he goes, with a view to raising £1 million for charity.

I will be joining Lawrence for the Paris (Stade de France) to Twickenham leg - a total of 450km over 4 days.   While the riding should not be too difficult in itself (in theory) please bear in mind we will be doing it in February  - so it will be very cold and probably wet and windy.  However, we are all hoping that the snow will have thawed by then !

The important bit of the ride is the aim to raise money for some very worthy charities - Sport Relief and the Lawrence Dallaglio Foundation (which in turn supports Help for Heroes, Debra & Leukaemia Research).  For my own part I have to raise £1,000 so I would be very grateful for any donation.

The high profile of the event has attacted a number of stars from the world of sport, and even some from the media, who will also take part in the ride (including Ian Botham, Alan Shearer, Lee Dixon, Paul Kimmage, John Inverdale, Gavin Hastings, Zinzan Brook, Chris Evans, Kenny Logan).  The event will also be featured on the BBC.

Thank you for reading this far.  The charities I am riding for will greatly appreciate your support.

Best wishes,

                  Nick
