About my charity
:
Shooting Star Children's Hospice
The Shooting Star Children's Hospice is a very special place, a home from home for families who find themselves in truly unimaginable circumstances. Our Care Team are privileged to provide specialist care and support - sharing the good days, being there every step of the way through the more difficult times. The care is family-centred, focusing on the individual needs of the child, or young person, their parents and siblings. Through the provision of respite, palliative and specialist end of life care, whether in the hospice or in the family's own home, we strive to ensure that quality of life is enhanced for the whole family throughout the course of a child's illness and beyond. Every year we must raise £3 million and with no long-term statutory funding, we rely on voluntary donations

| My personal message: |
Life's a laugh - so make the most of it and don't feel too bad about the rest of the world. Just do a little to help every now then.
I will drag my sleek and streamlined body from London to Paris on two unpowered wheels. Now those of you who know me well will appreciate the true enormity of this challenge. I will do this thing to support Greg Scott - who lost his son to the ravages of a particularly nasty cancer (not that I've ever met a nice one!) and has put into place an ongoing and living memorial in the form of this annual challenge.
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Shooting Star Children's Hospice will receive your money faster and an extra 28% will be recovered from the revenue.
If you prefer, you can send a cheque payable to The shooting Star Childrens Hospice c/o Bordengate-Insurance (www.bordengate.com) at 14 Market Place, Faringdon, Oxfordshire, SN7 7HP. Tel 08456 580510
