Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
One of the boys at the school I teach at has a twin brother with a very rare condition called Tuberous Sclerosis. When he heard that I was planning on tackling the Ironman, he asked me if I might help to raise as much money as possible for a fantastic local charity which has done so much for his brother - the James Hopkins Trust.
I have also taken part in various events over the last few years raising money for the Rotary Club and so I was keen to continue supporting them. As part of the Rotary Club's team, the money that I raise will be shared equally between the Rotary Club (for their nominated charities) and the James Hopkins Trust.
Knowing that I'll hopefully be raising lots of money for these two charities is great motivation to push me through a pretty tough training schedule. I'm hoping that this will also carry me through a 2.4 mile open-water swim, a 112 mile bike ride and then a marathon run - around the exotic setting of Bolton!
Many thanks for your support and encouragement and most importantly, for supporting these charities.
