The Lent Challenge · 4 March 2014

Myeloma UK is the only organisation in the UK dealing exclusively with myeloma. We provide information and support to patients and their families and help myeloma patients live longer, with a better quality of life by accelerating the discovery, development of and access to new treatments.

Story

Hi, Katie and I are making a small sacrifice for Lent which runs from 5th March to 17th April in 2014 in order to support our close friend Deb Gascoyne's continued fundraising for Myeloma UK.  Since Deb's diagnosis she has been fundraising tirelessly to help raise money for Myeloma UK to help them continue the great work that they do.

This is one of many, many challenges that Deb has got planned before she reaches 40 and more information can be found on the 40 before 40 challenge here http://debsjourneywithmyeloma.wordpress.com/40-challenges-b4-40-in-aid-of-myeloma-uk/.

I will be giving up chocolate and crisps which for those of you who know me will be quite an undertaking!! Katie is giving up chocolate, so I may well need to save some money for a giant Easter Egg at the end of Lent!!  These challenges are nothing compared to living with Myeloma so if you can donate it would be grealy appreciated by both of us.  Please read the list of challenges on the link above and if you can help out with any of them please get in touch!
