Wild plants are crucial to life, providing clean air and water, as well as food and shelter for birds, insects and animals. Plantlife carries out practical conservation work across the country and manages nature reserves. We tend to take wild plants for granted and this area is too often overlooked.</p> <p>My longest race prior to this has been one 10k, so this is a huge challenge.
