Michelob ULTRA London Triathlon 2007 · 4 August 2007 ·

Every day in the UK, another 240 people wake up to the catastrophic impact of a stroke. The Stroke Association is the leading charity in the UK providing lifelong support for all stroke survivors and their families.

Story

Yes it's that time of year when I attempt to do something that I really should not do to raise money for charity!

I am doing the Michelob Ultra London Triathlon on Sunday 5th of August, the distances are 1500m swim, 40km cycle and a 10km run. Yes... all in the same day.

Please come down and support if you fancy a good fun day out and donate online, come on even if it's just a fiver......

I am raising money for The Stroke foundation in memory of Tom McCubbin who sadly passed away. He was like a father to one of my best friends and so I wanted to help in one way shape or form. I'm sure we all know someone who has been affected by a Stroke either directly or indirectly so please please give generously!

Each year over 130,000 people in England and Wales have a stroke. Of all people who suffer from a stroke, about a third are likely to die within the first 10 days, about a third are likely to make a recovery within one month and about a third are likely to be left disabled and needing rehabilitation.

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. Please dig deep and sponsor me online. Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: The Stroke Association will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

So please sponsor me now!

Many thanks for your support.
