Yes folks, I am certifiable! Following on from my highly successful abseil in 2007 (180ft down a cliff face), I have now been invited to dangle again!

This time, it’s a 220ft drop, with the added spice of it being down a waterfall – not just any waterfall, the highest waterfall in England – Canonteign Falls near Exeter.

Now, I don’t like heights at the best of times, and I’m really not keen on water (I can’t swim…), so this is going to be a bit of a challenge. The four foot high fence at the top is going to be the worst bit I think.

For me, the challenge is worth it. I’ll be raising money for the North Devon Hospice, which does amazing work in the North Devon area, caring for people with life threatening illness and their families. I have a personal affinity with this particular hospice, as they cared for my dad during his final week in 2007, and also my step-sister during her final weeks early this year.
