<p>Thanks for taking the time to visit my <span style="color: #888888;">JustGiving</span> page.</p> <p>As I am sure you all know this is a real challenge for me. I did half marathons when I was 17 no problem. At 41 I am thinking "totally bonkers!" The Folkestone Rainbow centre does so much for the needy in the local area. They have recently lost funding for the counselling service they provided which I think will be a big loss to the town. BUT if you help me raise funds they can continue providing food stops for the homeless, a&nbsp; place to get a hot drink and a friendly face, they have a number of activities to help families and children, the Op shop in Cheriton can provide clothing for those with very little.</p> <p>I have seen what a difference Rainbow can make to a persons life. It can help people to believe there is a point in life when things seem impossible.</p> <p>In my work with the Mental Health service, Rainbow has been there for many. I think a little compassion and a smile&nbsp;cost nothing, sadly we live in a world where everyone is running so fast (EXCEPT FOR ME ON THE 22ND APRIL- BUT I WILL COMPLETE IT EVEN IF I CRAWL THE LAST BIT!!) we rarely think of those less fortunate than ourselves, and in the current uncertain economic&nbsp;climate, you never know how things will pan out,&nbsp; so hop off the treadmill and donate as much as you feel you can. &pound;1 becomes &pound;1.25ish with gift aid so it all adds up. I also prefer this secure form of giving as you know the money gets to the charity (and I don't have to chase you for collecting sponsor money).</p> <p>So if you can donate, please do, the more I raise the more ooomph I will give to this crazy exercise.</p> <p>Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure.
