Royal Parks Half Marathon 2009 · 11 October 2009 ·

We help people diagnosed with a brain tumour. We aim to give everyone diagnosed access to the resources that will put them back in control. We enable brain tumour patients and carers to become resilient and to utilise brain tumour support resources from all providers to their full potential.

Story

On Sunday 11th October, I am running the Royal Parks Half Marathon for my friend Meg's charity brainstrust.org.uk

I have based my training programme on Captain Ivan Drago, the evil Commie from Rocky IV, "Hearts on Fire" on full volume, wired up to lots of computerized machines in a bunker and with a shockingly bad 80's haircut (which I didnt get just for the marathon ;-)

Please help me break free from this evil, misguided regime and lend me your vocal and financial support!

brainstrust – good for brains, bad for brain tumours

Donations of any size whatsoever, will be greatly appreciated and go a long way in helping people fight brain cancer.

brainstrust is a UK based brain cancer charity, dedicated to improving clinical care for brain tumour sufferers and providing co-ordinated support in their search for treatment. We provide support and advice at the point of diagnosis and beyond, by updating treatment, improving care and, ultimately, saving lives.
