Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
The Rat Race is the most challenging race we have done so far. It is 8 hours of cycling around London to various checkpoints. At each stop there is a crazy thing to do, for example; abseiling, kayaking and running through the sewers! We hope to conquer our fears and survive the course and, in doing so, support this great cause.
Alexander Devine Children’s Cancer Trust (ADCCT) is working to build the first children’s hospice in Berkshire. Sadly, around 260 families throughout the area have a child with a life-limiting condition, and many have to travel in access of 40 miles to their nearest children’s hospice. The charity’s aim is to fund, build and run ‘Alexander House’ in Berkshire in memory of Fiona and John Devine’s courageous son Alexander, who died of a brain tumour at the age of eight. It will provide much needed respite care, support for families, an outreach team and specialised palliative care. ADCCT needs to reach its target of £1.6 million to commence building Alexander House – if you feel you can support the charity in any way please call 0845 055 8276 or visit www.adcct.comDonating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure.
