Brentwood Half Marathon 2014 · 23 March 2014 ·

Every week in the UK, around two families are told their child has neuroblastoma, a rare childhood cancer. We fund leading research projects to deliver new, effective and kinder treatments for children with neuroblastoma. With your help we can save more young lives.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Mike and I are running my first ever half marathon in aid of Lily's legends-Neuroblastoma Society.

Anyone that knows me will know how hard it will be for me to run this half marathon as I hardly have the build of a marathon runner And can't abide running. Mike will be with me encouraging/goading/dragging me round. And with his help, my determination and also the support of my fellow bootcampers that persuaded me that I could do it I am sure I will finish.

Lily is 20 months old and in August 2013 was diagnosed with Neuroblastoma, a rare and aggressive form of childhood cancer. After 10 days of gruelling tests, the family were informed, thankfully that the cancer had not spread and Lily has now started a 3-month treatment plan in order to firstly shrink, and then remove the tumour.
