THE FANTASTIC NEWS IS THAT TOGEHTER WITH PLEDGES FOR SPONSORSHIP NOT ONLY HAVE WE REACHED OUR TARGET WE HAVE SMASHED IT!! KEEP IT COMING PLEASE - IT COSTS OVER £9000 TO RUN THE HOSPICE ....FOR ONE DAY!!

Many of you will know know that Nicky passed away on July 16th. and we are now doing the Walk 4 Hospices in his honour. Come and have a great day out!
For all the family and friends who attended Nicky's funeral on 5th. August, the fantastic amount you generously gave was £343.41. Thank you on behalf of the Hospices.
It was great to put faces to so many names from Nicky's past and on behalf of the family and Azhar I thank you for your support.

We, his friends would like use the walk and the funds we raise to show our love, friendship and gratitude to him.
We are going to gather as many of his family and friends as possible to participate in the sponsored walk to help raise money for the hospice, who cared for Nicky.
The plan is, unless you are gluttons for punishment and very energetic and wish to do the whole of the 2 day 45 mile walk (which of course would be fantastic), is to gather on Sunday 23rd August to join the last stage of the walk at Eartham Wood and walk to the Goodwood racecourse – some 5 miles!
In order to be able to replete you with sufficient nourishment for the journey, we will be starting at the civilised hour of 3pm and make a sedate progress to Goodwood, where we can enjoy a picnic together and celebrate Nicky's life.

PARKING: Apparently due to limited parking at Eartham, please park at the racecourse and get the special bus to the start - but you will need to register your request for this service when you register!
This is the latest information from the organisers:
"I understand that we have to be clear of Goodwood by 7pm in Sunday 23rd. We are going to keep the website open for registrations until a week tomorrow. Also, anyone will be able to turn up and register on the day although we do prefer that not to be done as it does cause some logistical problems for us.
Buses will run from Goodwood to Eartham to take people who want to park at Goodwood and then walk from Eartham back to their car at 1230, 1320, 1410 and 1445 Bus tickets are £2.50 each.
The easiest way to pay from our point of view is by Internet or telephone banking to Account Number : 02036027 Sort Code : 30-18-30 and use your walk number as the payment reference."
