At Macmillan, we will move mountains to help people with cancer live life as fully as they can. We’re doing whatever it takes. But without your help we can’t support everyone who needs us. To donate, volunteer, raise money or campaign with us, call 0300 1000 200 or visit macmillan.org.uk

Story

On May 25th 2014, Lynn Pearson and I will be running the Edinburgh Half Marathon with the aim of raising as much money as we can for Macmillan Cancer Support.  We both committed to do this in memory of Lynn's partner Nick, dad of Ruari and Rob, who passed away last August.  Nick was a lovely, gentle man who bore his illness with courage and dignity, and never gave up hope.  Lynn and the boys love him and miss him dreadfully.
Unfortunately in his last few months of his life some of the vital support he had come to rely on was lost when the Macmillan centre at St John's
Hospital in Livingston closed.  Hopefully by raising money for Macmillan we can help them to keep centres like this open to support others fighting cancer.
